We wish to emphasize that when you participate in any diving activity
from an Eastern Dive Boat Association vessel, you are under
your own care, custody and control. Your safety is our concern
but your safety while diving is your responsibility.
Plan your dive. Dive your
plan. Be Responsible
MISSION STATEMENT: The Eastern Dive Boat Association is an organization of dive boat owners, operators and members dedicated to providing cooperation among all dive boats, while promoting education, recreation, safety, self-reliance and responsibility in SCUBA diving. Paramount to the accomplishment of its mission is the concurrent obligation to promote the conservation of the oceans, and assist in uncovering and preserving Earth's history found in the world beneath its waters
Founded in 1975, The Eastern Dive Boat Association takes special pleasure in introducing you to the greatest diving area in the United StatesThe North Atlantic and Atlantic coasts, including New York, Long Island, New Jersey, Cape Cod, North Carolina and Florida. This unique area has over 4,000 shipwrecks, some lost since colonial days. Each sunken ship is an abundant oasis of life. For the spear-fisherman; cod, fluke, sea bass, blackish and grouper. For the diver who craves a gourmet's delight; the northern and southern lobster hides in his underwater home for the adventurous man or woman with fast reflexes! These waters also challenge the underwater photographer. What could be more photogenic than a sunken ship encrusted with marine life and treasures.
Come dive with us and explore an underwater heritage that spans from before colonial days, through two world wars, and up to the recent past. Many wrecks are still unidentified. Perhaps you may be the one to uncover their identity.
We wish to
emphasize that when you participate in any diving activity from an Eastern
Dive Boat Association vessel, you are under your own care, custody and
control. Your safety is our concern but your safety while diving is your
responsibility.
Plan your dive. Dive your plan.
Be Responsible
